The Human Development (THD) is a self-sustaining, people centered, culturally sensitive and ecologically balanced voluntary organization committed towards development of the poor and the underprivileged in the state of Odisha. Being established in 2004, The HUMAN DEVELOPMENT works for development, capacity building and enlightenment of the vulnerable communities across the state for their effective participation in development processes. The organization strongly believes that change is a dynamic process, and so, it adheres to a dynamic work culture. Our efforts take a right-based approach to ensure justice and fulfilment of rights of the poor and deprived sections of society.

From being a grass root level Organization, doing sporadic welfare activities in different Blocks of Kalahandi, THE HUMAN DEVELOPMENT over the years has been able to be matured into a professional Organization having gained phenomenal growth in its geographical spread and programme activities with well-defined vision, mission and goal based on the organization’s ideological moorings of people centric and inclusive development process.

Besides working for overall socio-economic upliftment of the vulnerable segment of the society, their food security, sustainable livelihoods and basic health services are among the top commitments of THE HUMAN DEVELOPMENT. With its geographical presence through implementation of different development projects/programme, THD has set its thematic focus across all its interventions in Odisha Integrated Irrigation Project for Climate Resilient Agriculture (OIIPCRA), Bharatiya Prakritik Krishi Paddhati (BPKP), Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY), Special Programme for Promotion of Integrated Farming (SPPIF), Special Programme for promotion of Millets in Tribal Areas of Odisha through Odisha Millet Mission (OMM), Crop Diversion Programme (CDP), Promotion of Farmer’s Producer Organization (FPO) ensuring Post Harvest Management, Marketing along with PGS Certification etc.
